How We Work
This production is designed like a theater, not a traditional film set. You come on set, stay in character the whole time, and the film happens in real time — documented from dozens of different angles to tell the story in post-production. Only key story scenes are filmed traditionally with multiple takes. This means the approach of the director and DP is way more documentary. We don't have one team but multiple teams — one main team for the main story and a bunch of crew and cast teams capturing the side stories and side activities from their own perspectives.
The script is 60% developed fixed story, which serves as the frame and vehicle that drives the narrative. The other 40% is open space for cast and crew to jump on and have their stage — including dancers, musicians, visual artists, and side character stories. We cast with the Safdie approach: based on energy and style rather than professional acting experience. We have a handful of traditional story roles, but most roles are written around people and their style. We prefer people who are already characters. Costume works the same way — your normal clothes are the foundation, combined with sponsor clothing and partner resources to build out your character. In casting and crew, we prefer people who can handle multiple roles.
What You Get
Payment is structured as a derivative model — negotiated individually and paid out of revenue straight from release. On top of that, there are bonuses through barter deals, including professional photo shoots you can use for your portfolio.
Beyond the financial side, being part of this project means joining a community. You'll be part of our company reference portfolio and get direct connections to European investors and partners in Berlin, London, and Amsterdam — relationships that extend well beyond this one production.
